My name is Michelle Stewart. I received my master’s in Educational Administration from Texas A&M (College Station) and my Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sport Science from Texas Tech University. Currently, I am the Associate Dean for Curriculum Innovation in the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Dallas College. In my current role, I lead a team of 10+ instructional designers. The team provides faculty support through on-ground and virtual support while assisting E-learning and Curriculum Innovations with high quality online course designs.
I served as an adjunct faculty member at Richland College for EDUC 1300 (Learning Framework) and HDEV-0092 (Student Success) for three years. I taught non-credit courses online and face-to-face at the University of Nebraska (Lincoln). I have over 25 years of professional higher education experience working with instructional design, project management, faculty professional development, IT, software support and training, student services, and recreational sports.
Previously, I served as a member of the Learning Technology Team at Dallas College from February 2017 - January 2021 supporting faculty with integrating technology tools into course designs, Quality Matters course design, and faculty professional development presentations. I enjoy working with faculty to create quality course designs which help improve student success. I love to learn and help others improve their lives through growth mindset and lifelong education! Prior to Dallas College, I worked as an instructional designer at Central Texas College assisting faculty with course design and technology implementations in their courses.
